If you’ve been at our camp, the Strategist’s teaches you about only having three days without water before you’re dead, so we’re going to put clean water high on our priority list. I’ve experimented with several methods over the last couple of years and I’m going to share with you the best way to purify your water.

I have always thought of boiling your water as the best way to purify water, but there are products that can make your life exponentially easier for getting safe drinking water. What no cows, no chicken, ran out of peanut butter….you need proteins! You can do bugs and trap small animals. But remember plants have proteins to.

The US Department of Agriculture recommends that all men and women over the age of 19 should get at least 0.8 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight per day (or 0.37 grams per pound). That means a woman who is 130 pounds should get at least 48 grams of protein.

So this is just a reminder to have these in your garden or at the least have these in your seed bank. Continue reading
